The slicer came in damaged by the shipment. A foot was broken and the tray removal mechanism was stuck, making it impossible to clean the blade properly. I had some initial trouble getting in touch with Berkel, but once that happen Alberto was super nice and went above and beyond to help me. Once we figured out there was nothing I could do to fix the machine, and it wasn't me being unable to operate it :), he set up the return shipment at no charge, and replaced my slicer with an upgrade version (bigger blade). I received the new slicer yesterday and the tray comes out so easy I can use one hand only! I'm going to enjoy this Christmas present so much, I have already some Prosciutto di Parma and Mortadella on their way! Excellent customer service for an excellent and great looking product.

This item takes up a space 21" x 20" on a cart in our kitchen. II didn't think we needed it very much, but my husband wanted it. It's a bit of a job to clean it, but it does a great job of slicing. In general, I'd rather have our butcher slice products and save the kitchen space. It is far to heavy to move around from a shelf to the counter.

I can’t say enough of how awesome this slicer is! It is saving me so much time, energy and even money!! It’s fast, easy to clean and I’ve reduced food waste significantly! I honestly wish I had purchased it years ago, I had my doubts because I though it was too big but it’s not! It’s elegant and lightweight and makes my kitchen look like a chef’s dream :) Absolutely worth every penny!
