Focusun snowmaking machine can work in any season without being affected by temperature. Artificial snow is much more resistant of the effect of heat, light source and sublimation than natural snow. Nowadays, Focusun snowmaking machine is widely used in many fields like ski resort, spa center, sauna snow room, snow world, exhibition center hall room area, aquarium, snow theme park, amusement park, etc. Snowmaking Machines provide enough snow during the entire ski season, especially during the early period of ski season.

Snow Making

I live in the deep south where it is warm in the winter. Can I still make snow?: Yes, of course. Our Snow Maker with crushed flake ice can be used in any weather. It is suitable for outdoor area. For Indoor ski resort, we recommend you to choose the one with direct cooling system. It is independent of room temperature, relative humidity and falling height and Snow Quality can be adjustable from 100 kg / m³ up to more than 300 kg / m³.
Which type of snowmaker makes the most amount of snow?: Snow quality and quantity can be adjustable. Our Outdoor Snow Maker with Crushed Flake Ice can produce the artificial snow from 1 ton to 5000 ton per day. And our Indoor Snow Maker with Direct Cooling System can produce artificial snow of 100 kg / m³ up to more than 300 kg / m³.
Do the snowmakers make a snow falling effect?: Yes! Firstly, the flake ice maker machine turns water into flake ice. Then the ice is crushed with the help of ice crushing system. At last, the air conveying system transports the ice out, creating a snow falling scene.
What are available refrigeration systems?: Focusun Ice Machines are available with a variety of refrigeration systems: air cooled, water cooled and ammonia system.
After pressing start button, the ice maker running indicating light is off and the ice maker isn't running?: Find out the reason of this breakdown by doing following steps. Check whether the electrical source breaks off. Examine whether the fuse blows; Check whether the emergency stop button is pressed. If this fails to be the case, please contact Focusun After-Sales-Team for your solutions.
What do I do in case of power shortage?: First turn off your machine using the PLC Control. Then switch of the main power supply and unplug the connecting cable if necessary. Leave your machine stationary until the power shortage is solved. Now in a reverse cycle, plug the connecting power supply cable and switch on the main power supply. Leave this for 1-2 minutes and then turn on your PLC Control. Your machine should be working normally now.
My machine is malfunctioning but the PLC Control doesn't indicate the problem?: The PLC Control will typically indicate a problem with your machine with amber or red light on your PLC Control. If you have problem in your machine but the PLC Control is not indicating, please reboot your PLC Control by switching it off for 5-10 minutes. Restart your PLC Control and your machine should be working or indicating the error now. If this fails to be the case, please contact your own professional engineer or contact your professional and friendly Focusun After-Sales-Team for your solutions.
Why is the compressor disturbance indicator light on?: Check whether wires are loose, there is lack of phase and whether the set value is normal. Check whether the compressor has over heated. After the motor is cooling down, it will reset automatically; Replace compressor temperature control module. Check whether cooling system is running normally, if not, condenser needs cleaning. Check high/low pressure set value or change high/low pressure switch.

Project Summary

Challenge: Producing a large amount of snow while guaranteeing a high snow quality during the hot summer.

The snow should be long-lasting with high durability and resistant against melting from heat exposure for as long time as possible.
Guaranteeing a high quality of snow which should be close to quality of natural snow.
The snow should cover the whole area of the "Polar Adventure".

Our solution: Building a Snow Maker composed of a Flake Ice Machine.

Using Flake Ice as snowmaking material as it is more resistant against the heat.
The Snowmaking Machine combined with a Flake Ice Machine, an Ice Crusher and an Air delivery system can provide enough snow to cover the whole area.
Flake Ice produced at night will be kept in the ice storage and delivered to make snow during the day. This way is more efficient, cost-reducing and energy-saving.
